Splash.

Thursday started with a splash! Of coffee on my shirt that is. As I walked out the door, I thought about changing and then considered that if my co-workers judged me, maybe I didn't want to work with them anyway :)

They passed…

Anyway, before the splash was a  POW! By my dog.

I got my barbells out bright and early, and Finley brought his too, and we completed a 30-minute strength training video before showering!

Outfit for day three! Shirt is J. Crew
Skirt is Victoria's Secret
Heels are clearance BCBG from Macy's

Started my day with a bowl of apples, blueberry Greek Yogurt topped with PB2 and cereal!

Work today was awesome!

I had some of my first meetings/discussions and it's SO different from working in a large corporation. The company I took this job with is a very small, entrepreneurial mobile marketing start-up. It's so cool because I actually feel like my opinions are heard and I'm encouraged to be creative and think outside the box. I'm loving this culture!

Thursday was interrupted by…

SUSHI!!!!! Not mad about it. My boss took me to this place that was $6.95 for ALL OF THAT GOODNESS!!!! SHWHAT??!?!?! Mommy likey.

The day went so quickly and I had to gobble this leftover sweet potato and veggies on the way to practice!

Practice is getting more and more intense (and loooonnnnngggggeeerrrr) as we prepare for the games. The nerves are in full force now, my first game is NEXT FRIDAY!!! Oh em gee. I just peed a little.

I can't wait!

Baby Tawk.

Wednesday started out dark and dreary as Finley and I tackled a 3.5 mile run. We started to venture down the Monon Trail only to realize how dark and terrifying it was at 6AM.

So we headed through the neighborhoods and down to broadripple village where things were started to hustle and bustle (mostly just the coffee shops, but still, it provided a another companion in the early morning streets!)

I quickly showered

My outfit for the day!

and gulped don a sabayh. Smoothie as big as your head if you were wondering. Topped with nuts, pb2 and protein cereal!

MONEYY!!!!

Work was spent learning all about how unique and individually we treat each client, and how each program is set up so differently.

And white boarding! Not to be confused with waterboarding...

I am being handed more responsibility now which is great! Hopefully they trust me to gsd (get shit done) as my boss says :) love it!

Lunch was a fun trip to union jacks (I had a spicy veggie wrap and French onion soup) with my boss and another co-worker.

We got to laughing about the music in the place and somehow I ended up saying gang bang right when the waitress came by.

Why was I saying gang bang in front of my boss you ask? She said it first, then I referenced back (don't worry, I haven't totally let loose yet) :) I told you I liked my job! Ha!

Plus we hit Huddles on the way back to work. Not a bad day.

The evening consisted of gobbling down leftover hot and sour soup and lettuce wraps

heading over to my sister and Aaron's to get some QT.

Look how large and in charge he is!!!! RIGHT after I turned the camera off, we had a 45 minute conversation about the presidential debate and the turning of the economy…but you know…he's camera shy...

He is pretty much almost grown up already :) seeing the Martin clan made my night.

Snacking

And watching house hunters international! OHHHH YEEEAAAHHHHH!!!! Gettin' crazy.

Perfect night.

Didn't hurt that Justin brought me home a Reece's blizzard either that he insisted I have since my photo shoot was over (now I can just be a fat kid for the rest of the season! Haha I wish)

Wanted to share something that had me laughing too before I go!!!!

Report Card Time

Tuesday started off as a great day!

I slept in a little (until 6:20 ha!), then made a morning bowl of Paleo oats, and ACTUALLY ATE IT AT OUR DINING ROOM TABLE!!! Who does that?!?!

Wow, this new job has me being a new woman! I need to remember to eat like they did in the 50's at the breakfast table more often. It's seriously such a great way to start off your day.

Delicious!

Outfit for day #2!

I dropped Fin off for the day at Doggy Daycare to get out some of his energy!

Morning was spent learning more about our clients, how to set up a mobile messaging program, how to track, report and monitor. It's nerdy, but I kind of love it :) No, I really love it. My favorite part though, is crafting fun marketing messages for our clients! I get to be creative! YAYYYY!!!

Lunch I spent talking to my mom on the phone and eating in Paradise!

Vanilla coffee cake as an appetizer!

Turkey cranberry salad!

 Black bean!

And MANGO iced tea!! This stuff is going to be addicting just one block from my office! Fan-freaking-tastic.

Someone's ti-ti! Probably from not listening to his teachers at daycare.

We got a report card for his first day of school… yeesh…

Love that they said, "Does not do commands." Welcome to my life. Both of the men in my household would get this report card.

Dinner was a shit show. I went to BodyAttack class tonight since practice was cancelled (Fever Playoffs), and so I left the cooking to Justin.

Mistake #1.

Long story short, I got a nice little stuffed pork loin, but it wasn't thawed, so even after 35 minutes, it was still raw, so back in the oven for another 25. This time, some parts got leathery and burnt and some were still raw! WTF?!?!

I was so hungry and pissed by the time we finally though we were going to eat, I ate the rest of my plate

and stomped upstairs like a 7-year old who didn't get dinner.

First Day of Skewl.

My first day of work in the marketing world. Was. So. Fun. And so normal!!! Normal hours. Normal clothes (no more red and khaki). Normal break for lunch. Normal desk and computer. I am so grateful for this. I won't go into all of the details, but Target was not exactly normal in these ways.

First of all, I must be a really anal nerd, or something, but I love that I started on October 1st. Seriously. It's the first day of the month. First day of Q4. Nice and even. Nice and easy to count how long I've been with company from.

Good day. Anyway, enough of my neurotic rants. I realized that J and I had zero groceries after I was all ready, so I stopped at Einstein's for my favorite vanilla hazelnut coffee, fruit cup, and bacon/egg/cheese bagel (I know, who am I???).

I fought nerves off the entire way there.

Yikes, check out that face. And that mom hair. Rockin' it.

I had no reason to be nervous though! Everyone was super nice and welcoming!

My boss even bought me flowers!!!

What a sweetheart! I like her already :)

We started the day with a Monday morning meeting going over sales, client services, technology and strategic plans. It was great to hear everyone's role in the company and their views, but a bit overwhelming for the amount of info in the first hour I was there.

Good thing the rest of the day was spent getting set up in all of our software and systems, learning about the clients and their needs, and building relationships with my co-workers.

Twerkin' it out again :) And I gotta admit, I kinda missed having a purpose…

I was treated to lunch at Mcallister's with my manager and the director of technology. I picked two- savannah salad and tortilla soup!

Yum! The rest of the day was spent getting staples at Staples (ha!), putting together the sweetest office chair ever, and crafting my first marketing message(!!!!!!!!)

We had our daily 4:30 wrap-up meeting, then headed out for the day. Luckily, Finley had a great babysitter today (thanks grandpa!) and was exhausted, so Justin and I took liberty of the free time (guilt free!) and went out to din din.

Cancun isn't just for Spring Break. Justin treated me to shrimp fajitas and a coconut lime margarita that I drank two sips of (he was so mad, but I thought it would be frozen, too tequila-y).

We hit the grocery for the week, then passed out!

First Official Photo Shoot!!

Sunday was epic.

My very first Pacemate photo shoot!

Wake up call was at 6AM on a Sunday… blah, that was the only bad part of the whole day!

Started the morning with Protein Pancakes,

then headed downtown to the Stutz building to get mah herr and makeup did!!!

The Stutz was a really cool, old building with tons and tons of character!

First up, herr at 7:45. LOTSO teasing!!! And not the good kind… :)

The photoshoot started with shots in our uniforms, individuals and some fun group shots!

After that, it was onto a surprise shoot that I won't say anything about until the photos come out online, but it's gonna be HOT!!!!!!

Then, it was Halloween costume time!!!! Every year, the Pacemates do an online Halloween costume contest, and the winner gets $1,000 donated to the local charity of her choice. What a cool idea?!

When I got home around 7PM, I was completely exhausted, and Pei Wei and sleep occupied the rest of my night. NEW JOB IN THE MORNING!!!!

5k PR!

Saturday came bright and early. We had a race to run!!!

Einstein's fruit salad for b-fast!

Justin signed me up for his 5k team for his company's corporate challenge. There were about 6,000 participants
And 125 companies attending!

It was a brisk morning, but it must have pushed me to go faster because I finished in just over 24:13 and averaged just over 8 minutes per mile!

It was a huge competition that people took wayyy more seriously than we did, but we stuck around to watch the rest of the events. There was a CrossFit challenge, all kinds of relays and races, and a tug of war that Justin's company rocked out!

Afterwards we headed to the RAM downtown to get some post race grub! I had a bunch of appetizers including chips and cheese, quesadillas, and potato skins! Yikes!

I only had room for a salad after all that.

We headed home, and I did a few last minute preparations for the photoshoot tomorrow, then Stuart and Hank came over to play!

Stuart serenaded me on the guitar for a while, he is getting SO good! You go girl :)

We headed out for a walk with the dogs, and I showed him my parents house 1/2 a mile away, then we walked to my sisters to see them, but they weren't home, so we ate their food, drank their beer and sat in their back yard while the dogs ran a muck!

We headed back, did some further serrenading before heading to Three Sisters in the rip for din-din/ breakfast!

I had the most random dinner of Tomato vegetable soup, porridge, and fruit.

It hit not just THE spot but all my spots!

That came out wrong. Ummm.. Anyway, we had lots of table talk there before heading home and pretty much straight to bed because I had a 6am wake up call! Photo shoot time!!!!!

Getting our beauty sleep! :)
