House Hunters Indianapolis

I wanted to name this post:

House Hunters Internationaldianapolis but it wouldn't let me, dang it!

Woke up this morning sooooo ti-ti. My mom and dad decided to take turns snoring last night (it would be so exhausting to have to snore the whole night). How “sweet of them.” Love you guys, but I didn’t this morning.

I got a few extra minutes of sleep and a shower while they went down to breakfast. I had them bring me back a coffee and nanner before heading back to my sister’s house.

The fam spent most of the day brunching and looking at houses in Indianapolis.

Brunch was at the same place we go every time a hip new restaurant we’ve been dying to try. Ok, so we happen to be REALLY big fans of Patachou.

At least I got lunch this time.

Tomato Artichoke Soup

Green Goddess salad

After brunch, we headed out exploring the adorable houses of Indianapolis.

If you haven’t been able to tell so far, my parents are obsessed with houses, buying, decorating, remodeling, selling, you name it, they love it….

Not that they will for sure buy one in Indy, just looking, don’t get your hopes up folks!

We found some two really awesome ones close to Kara and Aaron (unfortunately we did not look at the one two doors down much to my Mom and Dad’s dismay…we told it might be a tad close J)

Here’s some pics of my favorite house…

After some family time with, it was time to head to Tampa (Kara scolds me every time I call it home). I grabbed a hummus wrap and some grapes for dinner on the plane...

I always like my hummus crunchy.... kidding, it was good except black olives. I HATE black olives.

and had a great surprise when I got on…

Three seats all to myself!!!! Ahhh! This never happens. Except it has happened to me three times this year. I can’t decide if I’m unusually lucky, or if I’ve just been traveling an ungodly amount this year. I’m going with the lucky theory because that’s way more fun :)

My friend Suzy was nice enough to pick me up from the airport and take me back to my cozy apartment. She brought her new kitten!!! Holy crapshoot is he cute...

Just look at his little harness :) I couldn't bring myself to wake him up to take a picture of his face, but he is soooo cute!!

That’s all for today folks because I am EXHAUSTED!!!! Phew, that was a whirlwind trip! Plus, everything in school is pretty much wrapping up this week, so I’ve got a TON on my plate.

Today, I am thankful to be sleeping in my own bed! Ahhhhh, there’s nothin’ better.

Hope you had a fabulous thanksgiving!

T-Gives at Lola Martina’s

Today was aaawwllll about the Martin’s Thanksgiving!

After a delicious Caramel Macchiato that Stuart’s dad made for me, my parents picked me up (again 14) to head down to Indy. The comedy  XM station got us there.

Nothin’ funnier’n racism :) Totally kidding, peeps, calm down!

We got there early enough to be the first ones there- AKA, first dibs on the cocktail shrimp. We actually had to get more because my dad and I are such fat kids and almost ate the whole platter.

Aaron’s sister, brother-in-law, niece, nephew and his mom and her boyfriend arrived from Ohio a bit later. We are so lucky to have such awesome, fun-loving, sweet in-laws (on Justin’s side too)!

The day was perfect, Kara and Aaron cleaned the house up and lit candles and were even able to keep the front door open (it was in the 60’s in Indiana on Thanksgiving weekend, that’s a major first!).

We even hung out in the backyard for a few minutes running around with the dogs and kids like mad while Aaron deep-fried a turkey infused with Frank’s Hot Sauce wearing this.

He also had a moose mug to complete the dead sexy ensemble. Kara’s so “proud of him.” :)

What else would you fry a turkey in?

The verdict on the turkey was sexcellent!!! Really juicy, really flavorful (TWSS). My dad went back not for seconds, but more like fifths and so did I.

After a few plates of delicious food, the festivities wound down and we had a slide show/video viewing of Kara and Aaron’s wedding. They just now got their stuff (the wedding was in August!) .

It really was perfect timing though because we were all there to look at them for the first time together. Presh

Our favorite pics to come!!!

The night ended by reading the kids stories, snuggling with the dogs, and some sleepy goodbyes before we headed to our hotel.

Today, I’m thankful for little kids and I don’t mean that in a creepy way (or do I?) It was so fun playing with Aaron’s niece and nephew; they’re about my favorite kids in the whole world… I mean how can you resist that face?

She lovessss kisses from Jackson!

Good night!

Silver Mrs. Bells

I woke up this morning in the mood to go on another hilly run (well, as much as you can ever be in the mood to go on a hilly run), I could feel it from yesterday a bit and wanted to keep that lactic acid flowin' if ya know what I mean...wink.

See those mountains in the background? Ya, I made them my bitch.

Sunrise over the water!
Love fall at the lake

I set out for a beautiful run around the lake and before I knew it I met my arch nemesis.... Mrs. Bell.

For those of you who haven't had the play-sure of hearing this story, she made me cry two summers ago when she insisted that I flipped her off driving to Meijer (now I wish I had actually done just that)...

Yeah, that really looks like me. Slap a bow headband on her and it's totally me.
This was before I had even met this woman. Since then, she has been an absolute treat.

She got kicked out of the community association for being a pain in the ass, refused to give our family a neighborhood plaque that we all ordered, threw tomatoes at a sick woman's car, and has threatened my aunt.

So, on my long beautiful run this morning, I accidentally waved to her, and SHE WAVED BACK!!!! NOOOOO!! She totally didn't mean.

She normally refuses to even look up when I drive by. She thinks I'm the devil.

This was before she realized who it was, she drove by me later and gave her usual grimace, but it still felt like a small victory.

The run was C-O-L-D though! My mom and I were watching Silver Bells on Lifetime last night

(so what if we've already seen it four times? We still never remember where the bells are!)

... and I kept thinking, "How do these characters have rosy cheeks, snowflakes in their hair, and a sparkle in their eye in the dead of winter...." when I have snot bubbles, bright red nose, and with so many layers that I can't put my arms down.

I don't know about you, but I look like a huge goober in the outside when it's cold.

Here's her..

Here's me...

Not so cute.

If I didn't have a long hot shower and this cup o' carfee to come home to, I might have cried.

Why yes, I am a University of Tampa Dad, how did you know?!

After a breakfast of cherry cobbler yogurt, whipped cream, girl scout cookie Larabar, and an orange, my mom and I headed out for a great adventure with my aunt!

BLACK FRIDAY SHOPPING.

Oh it's so fun on the way there...

accidentally took this on the way there...

Until you get to the parking lot.

Stop. Don't do it!!!!
Unless you wanna make your way through this hell hole.

Teasing, it wasn't as bad as I thought. I crossed a few presents off my list, got a cute little flannel for myself, and had a great time with the girls.

Red Robin for lunch!

Tortilla Soup

Southwestern Avocado salad

After some chopping, we saw the movie Hugo in 3D, it was soooo adorable, I highly recommend it! If you haven't noticed, there aren't a lot of movies I don't like...

Plus Jude Law's in it... we can watch him do anything for two hours, right?

I met Stuart, Erika, and Jeralyn for dinner before Nicole's surprise party.

Turkey burger and black bean chili were in order to fuel me for a night of fun...

We then hurried to Nicole's and set up for the par-tay!

Glog, cake, and presents alike, we scared the pants off Nicole...

Here's a video!

And pics from the shenanigans of the night..it's just easier to tell in pictures...

Andrew cheersing (cheersing?) in Espanol!!!

Evander!

Our old man dance

Did ja get a good one Nicolee?!

The infamous duck face, Ron Burgundy smile, and whiny Mcwhinerson!

Apparently I didn't get the memo about looking cute.

Pondering Laura's words.

My cousins Ben and Cadie came out!! Wahoo!!!

Aybaybay!

We make quite a handsome couple don't we?

Obviously we had to pose as reindeer by famous Santa lights on the way home...
That's all folks! Tonight, I'm thankful I got to be home to celebrate Nicole's birthday! She'll get her actual b-day shout out on the 29th :)
